New Intake Manifold From Ken Evans Project

Post by Jeff Rice » 19 Sep 2016, 21:21

Here's something new ( September, 2016)

Ken Evans has made up a nice looking single plane intake manifold.
Here's a first look.
Will be sending one up to Tom to have flowed for a benchmark.
I will be selling them with/for Ken, if anyone is interested.
Plan on offering them 'as is' or modified to customer spec's.

Cost is $599.00 plus freight.
Am going to have the first one (pictured) sent directly to Tom Covington so he can flow bench it for a baseline.
Then it will be for sale.
Couple of weeks, I suppose...

A miracle has happened! Awaiting with interest how it compares with stock iron and Jeff's Mopar adaptations.

The intakes cost $599 (plus freight out).
I would estimate freight to the west coast is about $45
If it is more than that, then I'll eat the overage.

I can have one shipped right away.
The first batch is half sold as we speak.

I accept PayPal.
Send me a PM or an e-mail if interested.

Yessir. Send it to me and I will send a manifold right out.
Do you want a manifold install kit?
That is $50 extra.
Includes a heat insulated (stacked gasket) AFB gasket, a pair of composit intake gaslets, a pair of stainless steel heat crossover block off plates (to protect the gasket) and four stainless steel studs and flange nuts.

Just let me know.
Thanks!
Jeff

Jeff,
What is the height compared to the stock Studebaker manifold?

1 & 5/8 or 1 & 7/8 taller than stock cast iron intake.
Most of this first batch are all the taller version.

Just an FYI

There are only two 'high' intakes available from the first batch.
It will be 8 to 10 weeks before any more will be available.

The Evans Intake arrived this evening. I hope to get some flow tests later in the week. Right now I am in severe back pain and all doped up. Can't even put my shoes on and a struggle to walk around in tiny steps. Sitting and resting calms it down but getting up triggers the spasms all over again. Hit me around noon while I was trying to harvest some mustard greens from the garden. Sorry because I know many are wanting to know about this intake. When I do mount it up it will be on one of my performance heads and the comparison will be a net flow with manifold, gaskets and AFB.

I really feel bad when someone has back issues.
Just standing up and going to the bathroom can be agony.
Glad the intake made it ok. (You saw it before I did ) ...
Take it easy and get well.
