This is recently at Edgewater Sports Park in Ohio 2022 .
I don't know the owners name , but it is Chevy powered , and may be from somewhere in Florida .

Here is a nice '55 SW owned by Herman Blankfield .
It runs in the 11's and runs an engine from Hughes Performance which seems to specialize in Mopar engines so maybe the car is Dodge powered??

I think that's a -56 with -55 front & as I've read years ago (I even think I read it here on this forum!) it contains a 360 MoPar.

I've seen this one during the Finals at Pomona (SoCal). Been around a while. May even have a picture or two somewhere.

Yes...Irwindale Raceway, this year, at the Antique Nationals.
(I haven't figured out how to post photos here or I'd post my shot of it on the starting line !)
The white Stude above. Somewhat obviously, I watched as it pulled to the starting line. Big tires, with a supercharger resting on the big Chevy engine.
Nuthin..! Could have been outrun by a good running, stock Chevette. Didn't sound bad as I recall, just didn't run well at all. His second pass, same as the first.
Oh well, didn't look too bad up close. Visually had the "stuff", just didn't perform.

Was this wagon painted orange a few years ago?

It might be about 7-8 years ago since I asked about that wagon Jeff, might been here or on the S.D.C. forum & it was white then. But there is a orange -55 wagon racer, thou that one has different (53-55) rear fenders.

Ha, I think I finally figured out how to post photos.
Here's a pitside shot of the big white Stude with the hood open. Again, a visually nice car, but didn't perform very well...2 years in a row.
Maybe that stupid screen thing in the scoop has something to do with it...as in not letting any air into the engine !

Shadyside Dragway in Shelby NC. (My nephew races there a good bit, but not in a Studebaker -- in a 2200 hp small block Ford-powered Mustang.)
