Nope, still at the cramped quarters. The move is slowed by my wife broke her arm. I did get more shop equipment, and a little grounds maintenance equipment. I need some advice on good valve springs to use with stock R3 valved heads, with my roller cam. Someone suggested Comp cams 977-16. Does that sound like a good choice?
I will post cam card tomorrow if I remember to write it down.
Also where can I get offset keyways for the cam gear?

What's the lift and duration of your cam ?
Most roller cams need much more seat pressure than the ones that you list.
That is, if you want the full cam potential/rpm.

Digger Dave Molnar might have an answer to both of your questions.
He is running a beehive valve spring using a spring cup and the beehive cap and retainers.
Has worked extremely well to over 7000+ rpm.
Dave already has offset crank keys to advance/retard the cam without messing with the cam gear.
I'll see if I can get the numbers from him quickly.

Depends on the lift and duration.
Most roller cams are recommended to have around 200+ lbs. on the seat (not the "rate"), by all of the cam grinders. I'd go by their experience, again, depending on the grind.
Also watch out to make sure that the installed height is correct for what your heads have. The R3 valve requires a full sized 2.03" installed height. Jeff's recommended spring is only 1.80", That means that the spring seat load will be much less than the advertised 125lbs.

Whole hog fer sure; that's a pretty serious cam. 254.4 @ .050" and 310 advertised intake and 347 exhaust duration is a way full-race grind in a 300" Stude. DynoSim says horsepower peak from 6,500 to 8,500, so yes, some serious dual valve springs needed for that.

What is the intended use? Is it going to be supercharged and if so, what boost?

Cut and paste the line below. I was looking at options for my 471 blower build but because I never intend to do over 450 H.P. I opted to trick out stock rods. That search was three years ago. R&R said they could make some aluminum rods back in early 2018 but I did not follow through due to my H.P requirements. I will PM the quote sheet I was going to send to them. Just trying to help.

Are the Carillo's steel or Al? Cost? My Potvin project may need some stupid strong rods if it comes together.

FWIW, I was told by Oliver, builder of some of the toughest rods ever, not to worry about boost bending rods; they're immensely strong in compression.

The rest of the story is I'd bought a set of Oliver's strongest BBC rods for my supercharged 427" Packard V8 and both they and my stroker crankshaft builder said those rods were too heavy for my application. They said boost won't bend rods. It's detonation or hydraulic action from too much nitro/alcohol which bends rods. High RPM with heavy pistons pulls rods apart from inertia-generated tension forces.

Bottom line - ask some experts; maybe you don't need a stupid strong rod. Back when your Potvin was new, many of the SBCs rail jobs using it had stock rods inside.

Another thing to think about.
"H" beam rods are stronger, pound for pound than an "I" beam in the direction of the force the crankshaft puts on them.
Look at the actual load on the rod also. The "I" beam strength is backward for the action of the crank..!
Interesting how the car factories have gotten it right all these years in so many engines..!

The cam card above... 1 to 1 rocker arms ? How do those fit on a Stude head ?
Tappet lift and valve lift are the same...1 to 1 rocker.

Bez - If your valve lift is .385 like noted (or under .50") you can use low load springs, but again, the springs noted are for 1.8" installed height.
