STU-V Intake

Post by 55commander » 29 May 2020, 10:55

I need some help to place a value on an intake i might sell.
It is a STU-V 5300 Sideways 2X2 with linkage and carbs. I ran this in my Model A until I went with a Jeff Rice custom Dual Plane 4bbl.
I have a friend interested, but I don't have a clue of value, I don't even remember what I paid for it.
I am thinking ???$800??????

If I sell this, I still have a STU-V standard configuration 2X2, as well as a Weiand, Stock 4bbl, Modified Caddillac 3X2, and some others. :D

One reason there have been no WAGs thrown out here is those old intakes are useful on a 232", but on later engines, it's mostly ornamental.

Might as well let the market speak. The only way to be completely fair to you and to your friend is to put it on eBay without a reserve and let him bid on it. You might make more than $800 or he might get to pay less; either way it will be what that setup is worth today.

I made him a package deal for both of my Stu-V intakes, the sideways 2 X 2 and a traditional 2 X 2.
I guess I set the market price now. :-)

I still have a Weiand a modified Cadillac, Stock cast 4bbl and a pair of adapter plates for SBC to S2D so I am not completely out of Stude shelf decorations.
